What is Level It Up? It is a series of 17 (and counting!) workshops focusing on a different composer in each:
- Each workshop is designed to provide a smooth progression of solo piano works from the easiest pieces of each composer up to the most advanced.
- Special emphasis will be placed on ''the best first'' for specific types of pieces for each of the composers.
- Leveling pieces can feel like a subjective, arbitrary process; this series will discuss key factors to consider in leveling up, such as compositional structure, specific technical demands, etc.
- Mixing levels: Students benefit the most from working on "negotiable" repertoire they can conquer in a month or two along with "stretch" pieces that will take longer. Ideas for mixing these levels will be shared!
- You'll receive a PDF for each workshop that is a repertoire leveling guide for that composer, including the key factors in leveling.
